Not yet, sorry… Except for the documentation available on the GitHub repositories from the tango-controls-hdbpp GitHub organization, which should help to install the latest versions of the device servers. The documentation on tango-controls readthedocs will be updated in the coming weeks. The person in charge of this task is not present this week but will work on it in the coming weeks. Sorry about that. Reynald

I have updated the source documentation for building and installing many of the components, and in some cases improved the build process. This should cover everything you need of you want to work from source (docs are quite detailed, but feedback is very welcome to improve them). As mentioned, I will add some more high level documentation in the coming weeks to the resdthedocs pages. This will not cover aspects such as compiling, since this is explained in the source. There are debian packages for debian 9, thèse need a rebuild for the new release. I also hope to add some Ubuntu packages in the coming weeks. Both rely on libtango9. These will be documented at readthedocs. Thanks Stuart |

Hi Stuart, Thanks for the prompt reply. However, we would appreciate if you can share the exact location of the new documentation.

Hi, The documentation Stuart was mentioning is available on the different git repositories from https://github.com/tango-controls-hdbpp Github organization. The documentation was updated for the C++ part. Please have a look at the README files from the different C++ git repositories (For instance: https://github.com/tango-controls-hdbpp/hdbpp-cm-es). They explain how to install the HDB++ C++ libraries as well as the device servers. Some documentation is also available here: http://www.tango-controls.org/community/projects/hdbplus/ In the future, the goal is to have an up-to-date HDB++ related documentation on readthedocs: http://tango-controls.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tools-and-extensions/archiving/HDB++.html?highlight=HDB%20%20 Kind regards, Reynald

TCS_GMRT Sorry this has been delayed while I complete some other work. I am looking at the documentation now. To help get the right material, I wanted to ask if you had anything in particular you would like to see documented? Any feedback appreciated. I was planning a general Getting Installed / Started Guide that would cover (from a high level) getting the various components installed and setup Thanks Stuart |

Hi Stuart, To start with the general Getting Installed / Started Guide will surely help, as we are currently using an older HDB++ version. However, we were unsuccessful in migrating to 2.2 because we are not sure about the additional dependencies(if any) and procedure to install it.

TCS_GMRT Ok, I will start there with a Getting Started (with notes on upgrading and migration). We can always explore additional topics once I get the basics completed. Thanks Stuart |
