Archiver - jhdbviewer

Hi All, As jhdbviewer, It provides feature to plot extract data as form of chart or table. Is there any future plans to implement real time/dynamic graph/chart plotting in jhdbviewer? Also see the attached file. When click on show legend, It will show the attributes/parameters name with its device server name (like tango/hdb/cm-1/archiverstatus). If I want only attribute name(like archiverstatus), so where need to be change in source code?

Hi, I think you should wait for Jean-Luc to come back from its vacations to get a good answer… Implementing real time/dynamic graph/ chart plotting is a good idea. I am not sure we considered to implement this in the future in jhdbviewer at some point but I remember having discussions about adding historical data retrieval from atkmoni (Numeric & State Trend menu item from ATKPanel View menu). About changing the labels on the legend to display only the attribute names on the legend, I don't think this is a good idea in a generic application as jhdbviewer since you might want to display on the same graph several attributes having the same name but coming from different devices. Please note that you can change the name displayed on the legend by left-clicking on the name you want to change. A dialog will appear to be able to customize the data view options. You can change the value of the name field in the curve tab (first tab) to whatever you like here. But if you perform another search, the original name containing the device name (and not the device server name as you mentioned) will come back. I hope this helps a bit. Reynald
