Hi , Can Tango Access Control be implemented at user level ( independent of the user name logged into the system)? My control system application is accessed through user name and password and I want different access for different users signing in ( The system running this application would have one user profile). Kindly help. Regards, Snehal |

Hi again, How does Tango know about the user logged in the system? I mean, does it read any specific environment variable? With reference to my requirement mentioned in the previous post, can I manipulate the variable Tango is reading? Would that help me to apply Tango Access Control at user level? Thanks and regards, Snehal |

Hi User is the log in user name. If you modify the $USER environment variable, it does not change anything. If it was so easy, access control does not have sens. ;) You cannot change user during your client running time. When your client start, it ask to the system (user/IP), and then client rights are defined for the client life. Regards Pascal |
