Hello! I was trying to find documentations for various archiving systems in Tango, but there are no information on the new site. Could anyone send me HDB & TDB as well as Mambo documentation? |

Hello. The "ArchivingRoot" (Archiving tool) package contains a "doc" folder with all documents. These documents may not be up to date, but the basics did not change. So, they should help you understanding how mambo and bensikin work. (http://www.tango-controls.org/downloads/tools/) Regards

Thank you for the link, it will be very useful to get a unique path to the softs. Is there any link to the last version of each soft? A symbolic link could allow to build automatic process to check and download the last version of a soft. :)

Hi. Concerning archiving, everything is published in a single zip. So, every time there is a software update, this zip is updated. I also send an email to the tango mailing list evey time I update this zip file. Concerning the symbolic link, I will check what I can do about it. Regards,

You're welcome. Since this problem has obtained a probably better solution in the thread http://www.tango-controls.org/community/forums/topic/54/ I propose to erase last posts which do not give a clue in opposite to the thread http://www.tango-controls.org/community/forums/topic/54/. For my own, I moved my post in the first one to check if this solution is a good one.

Sorry, I am not an expert, but it seems to me the procedure is the same with an exception for the name of the executables.
